This presentation began as a short framing talk for the 2017 Digital Humanities Spring Symposium at the Claremont Colleges prior to the keynotes given by Dr. Patty Ahn on digital activism and Bergis Jules on the DocNow project.
This presentation was meant to provide a quick overview of the types of work and a sampling of projects that seek to address social justice issues through digital media. Each image is a clickable link, so you can continue to explore beyond what this short presentation offers.
In the near future, I will add my notes and hope to continue expanding this presentation and eventually write a longer reflection on where we currently stand and where we might go. In the meantime, I highly recommend the readings listed in the bibliography at the end of the presentation below.
